The Unhealthy Obsession with Collectables...
Slowly but surely things are coming together for ‘The Unhealthy Obsession with Collectables Exhibition’ that me and Caitlin Totten are holding in Sheffield. http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=172236209513435 ‘Collecting is an obsession, an occupation, a disease, an addiction, a fascination, and absurdity, a fate. Those who do it, must do it - No matter what the cost’...

Moving Home
Since finishing university and moving back home, I’ve had to sort through a lot of stuff which has been hidden away for years - from college work, senior school work and a fair few toys. Something I came across was my FMP work that I did whilst at college. It was based on the Richard Rogers exhibition ‘From the House to the City’, which was being held at the Design...

Updates.
Finally all my work for the final year at university has been handed in. On top of all that, I was looking at hand rendered type. Below is one outcome of this. This will be an A2 screen-print, which will be produced this week. More at - www.seangee.co.uk The rest of the time will be spent working towards the opening of Creative Spark Exhibition 2011. See poster below for details.

A-Z
For the final part of Grad2, my last project is going to be a Type based project. From the start of Grad2, I made a font based on a standard serif font, this was because every time I produced some hand rendered text, they were always san serif based … Thought it was about time to address this. Black ink/paint brush and stencils were used to create this font. This was only used for labeling...

Chemistry World - A Bright Future (Edit)
Apr 20th
Chemistry World - A Bright Future.
Looking at possibly producing a few more editorial illustrations. This one is for Chemistry World and the article ‘A Bright Future - LED’s hit lighting market’. In the article it constantly brings up the words ‘A Bright Future’ so I thought i’d play around with that idea and also its says how offices/hotels/factories and other businesses have made the change to...

Flipbook & Animation.
Below are some frames for my flipbook, which will be used as an interactive business card. 73 frames in total. Need to look for stock to print it on, 180gsm might be the right one. Here are some screen shots of using the frames from my flipbook to make into a short animation. This will be outputted as a short Quicktime animation.

Few Weeks Work.
With all the editorial work I produced for the first part of my Grad 2 project, I’ve decided to put all of the illustrations into a book called ‘Few Weeks Work’. It’ll have all illustrations and Text from the articles to go with it. So far I’ve got all the layouts done, and its just a case of sorting out the text. Below is the front cover.

Childhood Fears - Comets (new)
A new version of the Comet fear … broken up into scenes and added framing for a cartoon effect. This idea/layout is better than pervious, but i’m unsure on how to have it …. With white gaps in between each image? or to have as one image but with the black framing to break it up? This will be the only image out the 5 illustrations for Childhood fears that will be in this...

Character Walking Frames
These are the frames of my character walking for my flip-book. I’ve used different shades of blue for each limb. I quickly put together some jpgs of these moving and with the distance between each character it was pretty jerky. So I went back and added more frames to it and extended them, so he would be walking for longer and also smoother as well.

Childhood Fears - Comets & Hair Clippers.
Again these are just mock ups. Will return to look at fonts, narrative and spelling once the imagery has been done. Just purely for how it looks with some sort of text.

Flip-book/Business Card
As well as the Childhood Fears project. I’m going to be producing a flip-book/business card to send out to companies, it will contain all relevant information needed: Website, Contact etc. And it will feature the character that always pops in in my work. (need to think of a name for him/her) Took some photos of what its like to walk step by step, so when it comes to putting that into...

Global Echo Prints.
All i had to do was produce an edition of 10 prints and that was it. I’ve had this illustration for sometime and always wanted to print it, so I thought it would work for this occasion. Radio Times Brief 2.
Been awhile since i’ve updated this. I’ve been back at home a lot recently due to a loss in my family, so I’ve been spending time there and not really thinking about work much. So regarding projects for my final year very little has been done. We was given another brief by the Radio Times a few weeks ago, this time it was tackling ‘Britishness’ and is Britain having...

Radio Times Brief 1.
This was a short brief for a Radio 4 documentary on how the sense of smell is linked to memory. In particular it focuses on how our ‘olfactory’ senses can evoke memories from childhood, and how the sense of smell could provide a link to treating degenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease. Couple of pages from my Sketchbook, showing ideas/layouts. We’ve got a...

A Week & 2 Days
On the 6th January every piece of work i’ve produced over three years whilst being at uni was wiped from my hard drive, this included all the work i’ve been producing for my ‘Not So Book’, this left me with a problem. I made sure that I had it all done before the Christmas holidays so when i’d come back i’d have plenty of time to screen print everything, I even...

Something Else.
This was something I started a few hours ago. Was thinking about things I used to be scared of when I was little and how my imagination would run wild (hasn’t changed much). I thought it could be good to produce a book called ‘Scaredy Cat’ looking at things i used to be scared of when I was younger. Seeing as though I don’t no what i’m doing for my Grad2 project...

The 'Not So' Book
For my Competitive Brief I had the choice of either producing a self promotional book based on anything or create a book cover for the book ‘The Outsider’, it was a difficult choice as last year i had two briefs that were the same as these. I decided to go with producing a self promotional book. It started off with me wanting to produce a ‘not so’ 3D book which would take...
