‘Dog Exercise Machine’
My choice of dog was a whippet and i thought i’d put him into a character of a strict P.E. teacher, teaching other whippets to get into shape (exercise) … the machine part of this is his nickname from his pupils.
The following photos are taken from my ‘Dog Problems’ Sketchbook.
These are the greased up prints...

More People
These are some of the last pages out of my sketchbook. Had a crit today on our work, was good to see other peoples work and how they go about doing it. Having looked around at them, a lot of peoples work was on single sheets of paper and on much bigger scale to mine. I feel i work better on smaller scales compared to bigger ones. If i was given an A3 sheet to draw on i’d feel lost on it....
Ben Kehoe
I really like the style he’s got and the way he uses Acrylic & Gouache i find effective. I don’t normally like this style of work but i find this really interesting. His influences are nature, pattern-based medieval artwork, comical violence and uncomfortable situations.

Face Face Face
These were 3 drawings i took out of my sketchbook and decided to play around with in photoshop. In particular i was looking at colour and also creating layers to form darker areas. I quite like how this turned out in the end.
EDGE: Perspectives on Drug Free Culture
Went to see the only northern showing of EDGE last night …. was pretty good, glad i went to see it but kinda what i expected. Good watch though.
Thursday 3rd December
For these i dipped my finger tip in different water colours and made a fingerprint mark on the page, each one using a different finger or side to it.
Tuesday 5.45 Ecclesall Rd
Also i got bored of drawing people out of a window so decided to draw the surroundings instead - water colours, pencil, marker pens
Moleskines
Been set the challenge of drawing 25 people with using the mark making techniques we’ve used in previous sessions and also with different mediums.
As it has been a freezing cold day, these were drawn from a friends flat, looking out on to a main road. I found it quite difficult trying to capture the shape of the people walking by … because they were gone in 5 seconds. I’ve never...
Beggars
I have been meaning to scan some off prints from the last project because i thought they looked interesting and could be used for other work. Its nothing special just some experimentation of overlapping and opacity of the scans with some text added to it, to make it look more interesting.
