For the final part of Grad2, my last project is going to be a Type based project. From the start of Grad2, I made a font based on a standard serif font, this was because every time I produced some hand rendered text, they were always san serif based … Thought it was about time to address this.

Black ink/paint brush and stencils were used to create this font. This was only used for labeling my sketchbooks, so I thought I’d come back and make some use out of it.

This is now going to be used as a working font, which you will eventually be able to download. Also I will be producing 26 postcards A-Z, and illustrating 13 of them. These will be simple illustrations, where my character will be acting out the word chosen for each letter.

As well as this, i’ll be producing 4 prints based on Panagrams. Below is an example of something I’m thinking about doing. Once the font is ready to use on, It will be easier to look at the spacing between each letter etc.

I like the text at the bottom of the page as well, as I feel its a good contrast to the hand drawn one. The information for this is still undecided, but will include: Font Name, Font Size, How many Characters used.
